There are a great deal of nappies out there, all boasting they are the best so how do you know which one is right for you?  Just because your best friend used a certain nappy doesn’t mean that’s the one for you and your baby too. Just because you like the look of a nappy doesn’t mean it’s the right one either! Its a minefield, and if you make the wrong choice, you could potentially end up regretting your choice altogether.

Nappy Types

• All in One. Just that, nappy, wrap all in one, other than boosters, liners, you don’t need to worry about anything else. Though these do take a long time to dry in our in English weather. You might want to think about using another system if you don’t fancy the idea of having nappies on every airer in the house!
• Shaped. A shaped nappy, coming in sizes it looks in shape and style just like a disposable. You’ll need a wrap to go over it. Much easier to dry, there are a lot of nappy manufacturers providing shaped nappies in many different materials.
• Pocket. Think of it as a stuffable wrap – a waterproof outer, and a cloth insert, smaller usually than the shaped nappies.
• One Size. One size fits all. Great way of saving money on sized systems, adjustable fastenings mean the nappy grows with baby.
• Birth To Potty. A little like one size, but this is usually a larger sized nappy that can be fastened snug about a newborn. – Not to be confused with a birth to potty nappy pack or system.
